We met some extraordinary individuals, the highlight being a Palestinian family from the West Bank. In the city of Tayibe, we watched the sun go down on the terrace of their beautiful home on the penultimate night of Ramadan, followed by a wonderful feast.
We cycled with the amazing TACC from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in the blistering heat. With ages of the athletes ranging from thirteen to fifty, the team is committed to developing and pushing the riders. They have many outstanding cyclists, many of whom are national team members and compete around the world.
Olympic and world champion, winner at Roubaix, Flanders, Sanremo and Lombardia...Hennie Kuiper. We spent the day looking at his old bikes, photographs and jerseys. Could of sat there for a whole week listening to him talking about bike racing!

Spent a beautiful wind swept day shooting for Dunhill Links at the Royal Cinque Port golf course in Deale, right by the sea.
We spent the day in Venice at the Sarto factory. Sarto have always made Carbon frames for other brands but have now started producing high quality frames under their own name. Antonio and Enrico, father and son showed us around. Many of the staff have worked there all their lives. A real family run outfit.

Went sailing with these two amazing people. Bernard Fouquet and Taya Ermoshkina. Fabulous weather and great fun.

As the evening progressed the more experienced players started to arrive and the quality of play got better and better. Mid week in a public park right in the middle of the city. An amazing sport to watch.
All of these amazing women were once men. Their stories are extraordinary and heart breaking. A real honour to meet such brave and honest individuals.
On a trip for Boat Magazine you couldn't stop pressing the button in this amazing city. The people were incredible and the food was off the hook!
We spent the day with 93 year old orchid master Professor Rapee. He believes that orchids promote the love and kindness in human beings. He is a widely respected man and was stopped by admirers for photographs wherever we went.
A chance encounter with a man in a chauffeur driven car led us to shooting at the Rajadamneren Stadium. Brutal bouts of boxing!
We spent a couple of days with Cav at home just as he was getting back to riding after his TDF crash. A very upbeat and realistic Mark Cavendish greeted us as well as his beautiful family and side kick Rob Hayles who was on good form, as ever!
